The Vineyard Voice Mission

The Vineyard Voice is nonprofit resource for education and community publishing for all islanders.

The purpose of the Voice is:
To enable and facilitate the free exchange of local ideas and information through the use of online media, and in the process show the rich connections between ourselves, our island life and the world.

Through our activities we hope to help enrich the lives of people on Martha's Vineyard by providing:

— a community-publishing venue operating in the public interest;
— a public, nonprofit medium for free publicity, advertising and community outreach;
— an educational organization enhancing local knowledge of online journalism; content production and media syndication;
— an ongoing community conversation about the value of free media.
