Youth Projects

vineyardvoice.org is a collaborative educational, publishing organization. We believe that the youth of Martha's Vineyard can really benefit from learning the tools of our age — journalism, web publishing, non-linear video editing and modern media syndication techniques.

The YVJ Project is an annual Summer project for island youth. Last summer we created 3 great videos (viewable here.) Through this education we help kids become informed and engaged advocates for our island's future.

All of our efforts are collaborative. The YVJ Project collaborated with IGI, VEP, VCS, MVTV and Featherstone Center for the Arts.

We dedicate a significant amount of our development time to applying for grants. Currently we are seeking support for an ongoing after-school and student enrichment program.
