Native Earth Teaching Farm

Native Earth Teaching Farm is a wonder not just for its animals and its vision of farming. That alone would be a rich resource for islanders and seasonal residents and visitors.

Somehow more vital than the farm itself are Rebecca and Randy Gilbert. Able to convey the value of farming in almost Thoreauvian terms, there is a succinct, timely and valuable poetry in their ideas.

They just make sense deeply and without clutter.

Combine their sensibility with the farm — and boy, that's a wonder.

Here are some pictures.
